Let me take you through a short story,

 

In 1993, we started a journey that took us to where we are today. It was not an easy one but it was an adventurous one.

 

We started out on February 19th, 1993, in Bucharest Romania, at a time when Romania was going through a major transition from Communism to Democracy, a time where many small startups were forming and many were eager to accomplish waht they never could before.

 

In the beginning, we were a small, family run company. My husband and I were running the company, dedicating 110% of our time to what was then, our baby : ALCA.

 

Many years later, we have become what we are today, one of Romania's largest textile manufacturer, and one of Romania's largest employers.

 

We have been pioneers in many areas. For example, we were the first in Romania to use UNIVERSAL MC 868 and Shima Seiki SES 122 RT .

 

In 2001, we expanded to Buzau, a city just 100 km from Bucharest, by buying Tricostar SA - one of the biggest former state-owned textile companies, established in 1976. We turned the company around, and it is today where our knitting is done, under strict rules and regulations to comply with our high quality standards. In under 15 months, the factory in Buzau has once again become what it was over 25 years ago, a major power point in knitwear production in Romania.

 

Since the beginning, almost 100% of our production is destined for export. We pack and send anywhere our clients require us to: France, Italy, Germany, The United Kingdom, Spain, as well as the U.S.A. and Russia.
